المستقبل لا يُنتظر. المستقبل يُخطَّط له.
ADNOC, Emirates Group, FAB, e&, Majid Al Futtaim, DP World. Most open between September and November. Check the dates this week.
Cybersecurity, data analytics, AI applications. The roles with the largest skills shortage, which means the most room for someone young.
Emirates NBD, FAB, ADIB and the Big Four run graduate intakes for business, finance and economics degrees.
Police, federal entities and the free zones. For Emirati students, Nafis and the Emiratization targets make this the widest door in the room.
The most prolific first-job employers in the country. Formal training and fast promotion for people who show up well.
They do not run programs. They hire when someone they trust says "this one is good". That is where networking stops being a buzzword.
Pearson's forecast for the UAE: the workforce grows 12% by 2030 and technology-adjacent roles grow 54%. Adjacent is where most of you will land.
Someone who knows the process and can tell the tools what to do. Business and marketing graduates are landing these, not engineers.
Payments, digital banking, compliance analytics. Dubai and Abu Dhabi both have free zones built around it.
A shortage in every survey. Entry-level certificates open the door faster than in any other field.
Every listed company now reports on it and few people can do it. Any degree plus one certificate is enough to start.
Use AI to think faster.
Never to think less.
In the UAE, job posts asking for AI skills have more than tripled in four years, and employers pay a premium for them. They are not hiring engineers. They are hiring people who use the tools well, check the output, and still have an opinion of their own.
Look up your future manager on LinkedIn. If they have been in the role under a year, or nobody who worked for them has moved up, think twice.
Name it. "Run a P&L for a store." "Build a dashboard from raw data." If you cannot name it, the job will not teach it.
Growing companies promote from inside because they have to. Shrinking ones promote nobody. Check headcount on LinkedIn over 12 months.
Fair, not maximum. Check it against a published salary guide, not against your friend. A first job that teaches you is worth more than one that pays 15% extra.
Visa, medical and 30 days leave are standard. Bilingual Arabic and English earns a 15 to 25% premium at entry level. Sources: Indeed UAE (July 2026), Labeeb, Angel In Dubai (September 2026). Verify against a current salary guide before you negotiate.
Online applications. Necessary, crowded, and where your CV competes with hundreds. Do it, but do it properly: five tailored applications beat fifty copies.
Referrals. A current employee sends your CV with one line: "worth a look". Your CV skips the pile. This is how most mid-sized firms hire.
Internships, projects, alumni coffees, a message to a manager you admire. Ten real conversations before graduation. Not asking for a job. Asking for advice.
Most careers are a mix. The point is to know which one you are on, so you can tell when it stops working.
Analyst, senior analyst, team lead, head of function. Best where depth keeps paying: finance, legal, engineering, technical roles. Slow, steady, predictable.
Marketing executive to a growth role at a startup to product marketing lead. Builds breadth. Often re-enters the corporate world a level higher.
Business graduate, one year of data and AI certificates, analyst role, then AI product manager. Higher risk, higher reward. Needs proof: certificates, projects, people.
عشر دقائق. اكتب خطتك الآن، لا غداً.
Filter jobs by entry level and your city. Then open your university's alumni page and see where graduates of your major actually went.
The federal platform for private-sector Emiratization roles, with salary support and training. Register before you graduate, not after.
Google Career Certificates, HubSpot, Microsoft Learn. A certificate in six weeks beats "fast learner" on a CV every time.
Free. Answer questions out loud, get a transcript, see your filler words. Do it ten times before your first real interview.
As a thinking partner for research, mock interviews and plans. Not as an author. Ask it to argue against your plan.
Published guides for the UAE and GCC, including Foreground’s at foreground.ae/insights. Know the range before you negotiate, never from a rumor.
A real thing you built, ran, sold or fixed. With a number attached. It goes on the first line of your CV, above your degree.
Not tried. Mastered. Pick one that your industry uses and be the person in the room who knows what it cannot do.
Alumni, managers, people doing the job you want. Ask for twenty minutes and advice. Jobs follow advice far more often than they follow applications.
Nobody is coming to discover you. Show up prepared.
The market will not come to you. But in this country, in this decade, the people who arrive ready get further, faster, than almost anywhere else on earth.
