The Two Sessions

What Happens In The Room

Session 01

The CV And Cover Letter Masterclass

45 minutes19 slides

The two readers every CV must pass, the UAE's local rules, a live before-and-after on a real graduate program, the four-paragraph cover letter, and the AI tools in the right order.

  • First a machine reads it, then a tired human does: what each one needs
  • One page, six blocks, in this order
  • Stop writing what you did; write what changed because you did it
  • The UAE CV has local rules: private sector, government portals, visa status
  • Live demo: a graduate CV rebuilt line by line against a real posting
  • Four paragraphs, one page: the cover letter that gets read
  • AI tools in the right order, and the prompt that works
  • Seven in ten recruiters check LinkedIn before they call
  • Every interview asks three questions, whatever words they use

Outcome. You leave with a CV structure you can finish tonight, a cover letter you can adapt in ten minutes, and three interview stories to write.

Session 02

Career Planning And Future Skills

40 minutes17 slides

Where the doors are open in 2026, the roles that barely existed five years ago, the five skills employers rank highest, judging an offer by four questions, and a live planning exercise on your phone.

  • The good news first: one of the strongest job markets in the world
  • Six places that hire graduates every year
  • Roles that barely existed five years ago, and the majors that lead to them
  • What UAE employers actually ask for: human skills, three times over
  • The five skills employers rank highest; four have nothing to do with your major
  • Judge your first job by four questions; salary is the fourth, with numbers
  • Three doors: the front door, the side door, and the door you build
  • One page, three horizons: the plan, written live on your phone
  • Three things, ninety days

Outcome. You leave with a first-draft career plan, a target list, a skills gap you can close, and a first move you can make this week.

Three Habits, Taught Once

What You Will Still Be Doing In Ten Years

01

Numbers, Not Claims

Every line on a CV answers "so what?" with a figure. "Hard-working" is an opinion; "400 to 2,100 followers in a semester" is proof.

02

Their Words, Not Yours

The software scores the exact words from the post. Match them, in plain text, once each. Synonyms score zero.

03

AI Drafts, You Decide

Use the tools in the right order and never send a line you cannot defend in an interview.

On Artificial Intelligence

Use AI to think faster. Never to think less.

Employers are not hiring engineers. They are hiring people who use the tools well, check the output, and still have an opinion of their own.

Questions

Before You Ask

Is it really free?

Yes. Foreground funds NXT. No student is asked to pay for anything, at any stage, for any programme.

I am in my first year. Is it too early?

No. The earlier you understand how hiring works, the better every choice you make in between.

I have already graduated. Can I come?

Yes. Recent graduates are welcome and often get the most from Session Two.

Do I need a CV already?

No. We start from a blank page as often as from a finished one.

Is this only for business students?

No. The CV rules, the interview questions and the career plan apply to every major. The market content covers technology, finance, government, hospitality, aviation and the hidden market of smaller firms.

Will Foreground recruit from the room?

No. Foreground runs searches for employers and does not use the workshop to source candidates. Your details are used to send you the materials and to tell you when NXT comes to your campus, nothing else.

When and where is the next workshop?

Wherever a university invites us next. Join NXT and you hear first when it is yours. Universities can invite NXT on the For Universities page.
